New travel bag! I changed the design a bit to make it have a modular strap system, so you can use a shoulder strap, or shorter hand straps, but the hardware added quite a bit of weight to the top of the bag.  Made from some coyote tan and navy packcloth I had in stock.  Strapping is brown seatbelt webbing.  Can't wait to see how much it can carry! I already know this one is going to get heavy! haha!

 I know this isn't art, but I had to put it out there someplace! I love my Schnees pac boots, but when it gets really cold out here in Montana, the liners that come with pac boots, a 3mm wool blend, still aren't quite enough for me.  I tend to wear a medium weight merino sock and dislike very heavy wool socks. I have found potentially the best thing ever....a shearling liner!

These are custom made to your size out in Oregon.  You send them your street size, plus a few measurements.  Shipping was insanely fast and all communication with them has been fantastic.  My feet literally feel like they're just being hugged by fuzzy fleecy goodness....I have only worn these down to 12*, we haven't gotten below zero again, but I'm definitely going to be updating my review of them long term.  If you have Schnees boots too, I would recommend sending them a tracing of your current liner.  Mine arrived a little too wide in the heel and I had to modify them with my sewing machine. So to prevent that, just trace your liner to be on the safe side!

So far I have had zero issues getting these to fit under my riding suit and my overpants that I wear when it's really cold. Get yours here!

Surprisingly, I have not gotten tons of hay stuck in them.  It's been easy to brush out, but it does give me incentive to wear a gaiter or my riding suit over them.

Just finished this bag up, really happy with how it turn out.  The outer fabric is a heavy wool, it reminds me of a saddle blanket.  The base is a buttery beige leather, the interior is a very nice upholstery grade fabric with tons of texture.  The interior fabric did fray a lot, so I serged what I could, and the same with the wool, a little fray check fixed that.  The outside pockets are only attached to the back at the side seams so that a handle of a rolling luggage will fit through it, perfect for travel!

This is an Archer Button up, from Grainline Studios, it's my first one and definitely won't be my last. I saw this fabric on Mood's website abd fell in love with it. Its a lightweight cotton voile, love it so much!

This next piece features fabric from Mood, its a heavyweight wool knit. The pattern is called Arare from Waffle Patterns in Japan. This fabric proved challenging just in the sheer thickness, my home machine had a rough go of it.

Made my first Linden sweatshirt! I have been wanting to try this pattern for a very long time and purchased it last year.  I am getting into hunting and have not been too pleased with the selection for women, which means it's a perfect way to get some sewing in!

This is a very quick sew, especially if you're using a projector. I had it cut and sewn up in about two hours.  Here is the pattern if you're interested.  The fabric is from ebay, we have a pretty horrible local selection of apparel fabrics, even before covid. 

Those are residual chalk marks on the fabric.

This vest is to replace his old vest he refers to as 'big puffy'.  Its an old camo puffer vest from Old Navy that is faded and threadbare.  I'm actually surprised it's lasted as long as it has, I wouldn't say Old Navy is of superior quality.  He is the kind of guy that doesn't run out an buy something new every season, or even when trends change.  If that piece serves a purpose, he'll use it until it's done.  I hope this new vest lasts longer than the Old Navy one, maybe even be passed down to future offspring!?!   I love that by making it by hand you can choose the fabrics, insulation weights, thread and stitch! It's definitely not fast fashion!

This vest is a nice waxed canvas from Big Duck Canvas, a basic taffeta lining ( I don't remember where I got this, but it's a very common fabric), using Gutterman thread, my favorite and lined with 210g 3M Thinsulate from Seattle Fabrics.  I love Seattle fabrics so much. Pattern is From Leayla Jane, it's the William Vest.
