Beer burro for weddings, photo sessions and events.
Rocky and Daisy are booking for the 2021/22 Season!
What to expect: Each donkey will be outfitted with a pack saddle & custom panniers to keep your drinks cold. The panniers will be decorated and each donkey will wear a flower crown. If you would like your floral desinger to create crowns to specifically match your event that is welcome as well.
Stay tuned for additional updates, or contact me directly if you have an upcoming event.
How big are they? Rocky is 53" at the shoulder and Daisy is 50" at the shoulder, they are considered 'large standard' donkeys. They are the perfect size to take photos with.
How much can they carry? Rocky and Daisy are limited to 80lbs total for deadweight (dead weight is weight that doesn't move, they can haul more if it's live weight), their size and strength make them excellent beer burros, smaller donkeys cannot carry as much.
Do you shave/clip them? No, due to being located in Montana, we let them have the variations of their natural coat for protection, in spring and fall they will be fuzzy, mid summer they will be slick and shiny.
Do you bathe them? Yes, both donkeys are bathed (weather dependent) and groomed before each event, often starting days prior. During shedding season, please expect to get a little bit of hair on you, but don't worry, we have lint rollers for you.
Do they like people? YES! If Rocky could stand around all day getting hugs and kisses he would! Daisy loves new places and loves to explore and meet new people.
How long have you had them? I've owned Daisy for eleven years and Rocky for eight.
Will you bring the ice for the panniers? Yes! We will bring the ice to fill our panniers, but you supply the beverages.
What if they go to the bathroom? Both donkeys are outfitted with 'bun bags' to catch any manure, but we cannot guarantee they will not urinate, so we prefer to be on grass substrates.
Are you insured? YES! We carry commercial liability insurance. We also are fully vaccinated and carry current Coggins to show that they do not carry any transmissible diseases.
Do they spook easily? Not usually, but they are animals, we can never predict what might scare them, but Rocky and Daisy are used to lots of people, loud music, traffic, bicycles, runners/hikers. In general, compared to a horse, donkeys prefer to assess a situation rather than run from it.
