I've officially ran out of elastic, I have just a bit of cotton left. There is more on the way, and I'm hoping it won't be delayed too long.

Hand printed some tea towels while waiting on next batch of mask fabric. Really love how these turned out! And the next batch of masks is on deck :)
I have been sewing masks for the local medical community. The donkey may not be of service at the moment, but my sewing machines can be! This has kept me pretty busy, thankfully I'm an essential worker and can continue my day job.

https://www.facebook.com/101768814609970/posts/141054564014728/ I hope everyone had a great holiday season so far. My gifts this year were recycled canvas bags that are hand stamped with my donkey and elk designs. I will have a limited quantity for sale soon.
We drove up to the forest, permits in hand and hunted down some Christmas trees. Here Daisy is leading the way, she was particularly spirited this day....
I found some photos of some of the gear I've made and wanted to share. I used to braid quite a bit when I had more 'free time'......I forget what thats like! haha.
getting a buckOur buddy was hunting in the forest near our house Sunday, the last day of bow season. He managed to get a whitetail buck. He immediately called us to see if we could drag it out with the donkeys, my response was 'heck yeah!'. The donkeys have never hauled big game, so I was excited to see what their reaction was going to be.
We saddled up the donkeys with their pack saddles, in retrospect I would like to have a lightweight pulling collar for this exact situation. He sent me his location via OnX and we hiked up and met him. The donkeys were very interested in the buck. Daisy got within feet of him. We initially wanted Rocky to pull him out, but about 50' down the trail he got real worried about what was dragging behind him. Rocky doesn't drive yet, Ive only ground driven him once, so I totally understand why he was freaked out. When I say 'freaked out' he basically walked really fast in spurts, but you could tell he was worried. It was a good try for him. We hooked Daisy up, Daisy and she had zero issues pulling the buck down the trail. We took a few breaks on the steep part of the trail and to give her a break from the breastcollar. We had a bit of saddle slippage, I was using new pads that were not conformed to their backs yet. The trail was super slick mud and snow. Very proud of hope well the donkeys were on the trail. We could have easily packed them out in bags, might have to try that next time. A nice start to learning to pack game. I've added some new cards to my Zazzle store. I came across one of my memory cards that I had not dumped yet and found some nice images, I took awhile ago. This would be perfect for holiday greeting cards These Tulip cards would be great for many occasions, birthdays, get well cards, thank you cards, even sympathy cards.
welcome back winterwe had a bit of snow during this recent 'historical' storm. Nothing too bad thankfully. Rocky seems a bit annoyed by it all, Daisy is her normal spunky self. They have been hanging out in the barn more!
